Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Booking
All bookings begin with an enquiry submitted through the booking form available on our website.
Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a confirmed reservation.
Each enquiry is reviewed individually and is subject to a prior exchange before being accepted.
A reservation is confirmed only upon our written confirmation and receipt of the required deposit.
2. Payment
A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required to confirm your reservation.
The remaining balance must be paid before or no later than the day of your arrival, in accordance with the payment arrangements agreed upon.
No payments are processed directly through this website.
3. Special Rates – 10% Discount
Depending on the booking period, preferential rates may apply.
Early Booking Discount
For reservations made at least four months prior to the arrival date, a 10% discount may be applied.
Reservations made under this offer may be cancelled free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. After this deadline, all amounts paid become non-refundable.
Last-Minute Booking
For reservations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, a 10% discount may be applied.
In return, the reservation is firm, final and non-refundable.
Non-Refundable Rate
By choosing this option, you benefit from a 10% discount on the total booking amount.
In return, the reservation is firm, final and non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation date.
This offer may, in particular, be available for early bookings.
4. Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email.
Flexible Rate: Free cancellation is available up to 30 days before the arrival date. After this deadline, any amounts already paid are non-refundable.
Non-Refundable Rate (-10%): No cancellation or refund will be possible once the reservation has been confirmed.
5. Security Deposit
A €500 cash security deposit is required upon arrival.
The deposit will be returned at the end of the stay or event, following an inspection of the property, provided that no damage has been found.
In the event that any damage exceeds the amount of the security deposit, additional charges may apply.
6. Minimum Stay
Stays are available from 3 nights.
Events (photo shoots, filming, seminars, weddings, retreats, etc.) may be organised without a minimum duration, subject to availability.
7. Guest Capacity
The maximum capacity is as stated on our website.
As a general guideline:
Up to 60 guests for daytime events;
Up to 12 guests staying overnight at the property.
Any request exceeding these capacities must be approved in advance.
8. Pets
Up to 3 pets are permitted per stay.
Owners remain fully responsible for their pets and for any damage they may cause to the property.
9. Use of the Property
Guests and event organisers agree to respect the property, its facilities and equipment, as well as the surrounding neighbourhood.
The chalet must be returned in the same condition as it was found upon arrival.
10. Events
La Forêt Dormante welcomes both private and professional events.
Depending on the nature of the project (weddings, photo shoots, retreats, seminars, filming, etc.), a custom quotation and/or specific terms and conditions may apply.
11. Liability
Each guest is responsible for any damage they may cause during their stay or event.
La Forêt Dormante cannot be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to visitors’ personal belongings.
12. Force majeure
Neither party shall be held liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations in the event of force majeure, as defined under French law.
